Il titolo, oltre ad avere una modalità libera in cui i giocatori potranno affrontare velocemente le varie missioni di gioco per far salire di livello il proprio personaggio, conterrà anche alcuni scenari What If e un nuovissimo story mode interamente incentrato sullo spanaculi per eccellenza: Lu Bu.
